Documentation and Communications Officer – (National Candidate Only)

Role Purpose

The Family Care First | REACT project funded by EU, USAID, GHR, Save the Children Hong Kong and UNICEF aims to ensure that children are cared for in a safe family environment by developing a well-functioning comprehensive care system in Cambodia which can respond effectively to the needs of vulnerable children and families. The overall project aims to reduce the number of children living outside family care in Cambodia.

As the Documentation and Communications Officer, the job holder will be responsible for providing support on the translation of the documents of the project and communication materials from English-Khmer and Khmer-English and will undertake the administrative functions of the communications team. He/She will also work closely to support FCF | REACT internal and external communications in maintaining the project’s social media platforms, including creative work, while monitoring and gathering the resources from the projects’ partners/networks.

In the event of a major humanitarian emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours.

Qualifications and experience

  • – A bachelor degree in English, Communications or other relevant subject.

Essential

  • – 2-4 years translation experiences in an international organization;
  • – Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Khmer languages;
  • – Creative skill in video/photography and design
  • – Good understanding of Social media platforms and have a minimum of one year experience in managing Facebook page and other popular platforms.
  • – Experience managing website with the knowledge of using Word press is a plus
  • – Excellent interpersonal skills, problem solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team;
  • – Strong attention to detail in reviewing communication materials for compliance to donor requirements;

Desirable

  • – Knowledge of USAID branding and marking;
  • – Knowledge of social work is a plus;
  • – Knowledge of creative software: Adobe Premiere/Photoshop/illustrator/InDesign
  • – Communication experience in an international organization
