Children’s Future International
Children’s Future International is a non-government organization which serves the poorest and most vulnerable children in a rural community outside the city of Battambang, Cambodia with comprehensive Education, Well-Being, and Community Outreach programs.
Mission
To foster a generation of educated, self-reliant and compassionate role models for Cambodia, by promoting child rights and offering 21st century education and opportunities to the poorest children in rural Cambodia.
Vision
A future where every Cambodian child is safe, healthy, educated and thriving.
What Children’s Future International Does
Child Well-Being
For a child to succeed in school, that child must be happy, healthy, and safe. That means they must have enough food, a safe place to live, a caretaker who can help them deal with emotional stress, and much, much more.
Education
Children’s Future operates an independent Learning Center in Battambang. Our Education program first gets children into school and up to speed. Then, through our after school learning and enrichment programs, we give our students the competitive edge needed to succeed and thrive in today’s world.
Community Development
When families and local staff are able to care for children themselves, the community takes ownership of much of the work done by Children’s Future, and prevents many of the problems Children’s Future addresses.
Action with Family Care First (FCF)
Children Future International (CFI) is reviewing, strengthening and expanding their reintegration programme, alongside implementing a preventative programme, in local Ek Phnom communities, to reduce the risk of further institutional care for children in this district and increase the number of children receiving protective services.
Children Future International plans to safely reintegrate 20 children and prevent 20 children from entering residential care institutions. The organization aims to provide Ek Phnom communities with basic education so they understand the risks associated with child and family separation, and have the capacity to reduce its occurrence.
