Family Care First (FCF) hosted a Co-Design Sustainability Workshop from March 22-24, 2023 in Phnom Penh to obtain input from the government, civil society and donors on the final phase of the project. The final phase (January 2024-September 2025) will focus on the localization and sustainability of the USAID investment in coordination and learning over the past eight years. The last phase also has three thematic focus areas for sub-grants: 1) Prevention of family separation; 2) Residential Care Institutions transition, closure and re-integration of residents; and 3) Alternative family-based care and permanency planning. Partners will maintain interventions addressing the needs of children living with disabilities and their families. The workshop was attended by a total of 61 participants, 25 of whom women, from Government, USAID, UNICEF and 18 NGOs, i.e. CCT, CFI, CIF, Damnok Toek, DT, FI, FSC, HAGA, HOLT, ICS-SP, LWD, KRA, MRO, SKO, OIC, TCL, WOMAN and WVI. FCF obtained valuable inputs that will shape the interventions starting January 2024.
